Have you ever had one of those songs invade your head uninvited, and rudely decide to hang around even when you try to show it the door? I think we’ve all had that experience haven’t we?
A couple weeks ago, that happened to me; it wasn’t even a song I knew very well; it was cut on an Alan Parson’s Project album back in 1982 and while I can recall hearing it on occasion over the years, I didn’t really know the lyrics. In fact I remember when it first came out, I thought the one line said something like “…pie in the sky”.

Of course many if not most know what song I’m referring to; when it visited me those two weeks ago, I was a bit curious about it, so I grabbed my smart phone and googled the title and found the lyrics. As I read them, my eyes got wider and wider with recognition of what these words might have meant in the song.

Now please don’t misunderstand me; I’m not necessarily saying that these lyrics are definitely contrived to have a secret or occulted (hidden) meaning, but as I said, I recognized certain key words and phrases that are very relevant to many different secret and esoteric societies, and most especially the Gnostic and Illuminati societies (which seems to be experiencing a resurgence (since the mid ‘90’s under the preferred appellation of ‘neo-Gnostic).

This first stanza could possibly be interpreted as one who has a position of authority and has in some way been infringed upon, or offended and the admonition is not to rebel even though there has been opportunities for such before – so such a point that this power or authority is unwilling to give any more chances. Still pretty vague, right? Second stanza then:

This second stanza starts off with the admonition of refraining from saying anything - - incriminating perhaps? And why? Because there could be dire consequences? Recall your B grade movie where some Kremlin agent casts a wary eye upon a comrade who is unduly criticizing the government and the agent says in typical Russian fashion: “I vill try to forget you said deez vurds, comrade…”

Curiously enough, don’t things seem to be going along this way even here in America, with various government agencies in the name of ‘security’ are listening and reading and watching citizens for anything that would label them as a ‘potential terrorists’?
This smacks of the sorts of 1984, Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451 themes that address the idea of totalitarian society where surveillance is all encompassing – a bit more of this in a moment . . .

Yet the idea of ‘fire’ has interesting connotations for secret societies and mystery religions. Fire was a symbol for illumination, understanding and wisdom. People ‘in the know’ would disdain common folk as being “unworthy” of such knowledge; Freemasons say this sort of thing regularly to those who enquire about their rituals and beliefs. Such smugly superior adepts would not want such fire to enter into the minds of dullards; those who understand these societies and what they are all about accuse them (rightly so) of worshipping Lucifer (and yes, these accusations have indeed been heard before).
And now we come to the part of the sun – the Sun is also representative (just like fire) of illumination and wisdom – and societies such as the Freemasons will often ask each other: “Brother, do you face the east?” – because that is the place of the dawn, where illumination begins for the initiates and the adepts as well. Yet not for the uninitiated; while the Sun brings understanding to those enlightened or destined for such, it brings blindness to those without understanding: and so they believe what the Esotericist would call “lies”.

Here we read about the ‘eye in the sky’ and it’s reasonably well known that the Egyptian god Horus was represented by the Sun. Even on the album cover in which this song appears, we have the image of Horus’ eye, pictured above today’s article
The Masonic Society and Order of the Golden Dawn and so many, including the Gnostics and all the ancient cultures viewed the Sun as the Eye of ‘God’ by different names, most notably, Lucifer and the Great Architect of the Universe.
The ‘eye in the sky’ could also possibly be a reference to the surveillance, high-tech kind of society as mentioned before.

The UNRIGHTEOUS ROBBER-RULER REIGNS
The LORD Jesus said of the enemy (“thief”) that he has come to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10a) and he indeed is robbing us blind; take for example, some of his servants (many of these sort actually belonged to secret and semi-secret societies and organizations) who were bankers, politicians and business tycoons who created the “Creature from Jeykll Island” or the Federal Reserve system which is directing the money flow upwards, away from the diminishing middle class and into the hands of the elite, leaving a Super-class oligarchy and the rest of us as an abjectly poor world (once completed).
The incredible lock down and absolute reign of tyranny is what the Scriptures portray of the reign of the anti-Christ or “the Beast” where technology, terror and the terrible Beast and his minions will bring enslavement to the human race (economically, politically and spiritually):

As observed before, the ten horns, representing the global government is already in place prior to the rise of the Beast. For those that espouse a pre-trib rapture (such as myself), we can’t be here for the revelation of the Beast (2 Thess. 2:7) but it’s possible we could be here to witness the complete implementation of the one world government. The time differential between their rise to power and the Beast is an unknown.
Yet Satan robs us of more than merely this: our freedoms, our sources of true information; he has worked tirelessly (no wonder he is known by some as ‘Tired Old Nick’) at stealing away the Word of God from the true church (Luke 8:5, 12), throughout the ages, and no less in our present generation!

Once Lucifer rebelled against the LORD God (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-19) he later showed up in the guise of, or perhaps possessing a serpent’s body (Genesis 3:1-8) the fact that Eve is not stunned by a talking snake suggests that prior to the Fall of man, humans could in some sense communicate with the animal kingdom – at least that’s a plausibility to explain her unsurprised attitude) and tempted Eve and by proxy, Adam into rebelling against God Himself and taking of the fruit of KNOWLEDGE of Good and Evil.

From there, such mystery religions and societies slowly developed (perhaps greatly increased as a result of the demonic interactions of Genesis 6?, codified at the Tower of Babel (“gateway to ‘God’”; follow this link to read FROM the MIND of FIRE, an article that has to do with Babylon, its rebirth, the one world religion, and the impurities of false doctrines) Leaven, Fowl & Globalism Reborn have looked at the Serpent as a kind of savior (The serpent is seen as a benevolent god in Gnosticism, Hinduism and many other religions and societies) – a bringer of illumination and wisdom and understanding, and they revere the woman who acted admirably (in their eyes) in taking of the forbidden fruit (Interestingly enough this is also the view held in Mormonism, and their ambition to become ‘gods of their own worlds’!).

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR GNOSTICS

The knowledge of Gnostic beliefs is said to be a secret knowledge, or mystery knowledge, or even occult (meaning “hidden”) knowledge; however if we encounter anyone who claims to have “the secret teachings of Jesus” we must reject such material as unbiblical; the LORD gave no such secret or hidden or occulted teachings or knowledge: Here is a superb example of Gnostic belief on such “secret teachings”

Note the association of these supposed teachings of Jesus with those of all world religions and how this belief will solidify the apostate church with these; also the misapplication of the verses where Jesus states that the mysteries are revealed to an inner, elite group of ‘enlightened Christians’ as opposed to the common teachings (as recorded in the Bible) to those ‘lesser Christians’: see Matthew 13:10-12.
These so called secret teachings were the parables that the LORD spoke to the people, but He then went on and explained these ‘secrets’ or mysteries to His disciples and these are recorded in Scripture for all to read and understand!
